MINI HYDROELECTRIC GENERATOR
ABSTRACT
Nowadays, most people are using
electricity power in their daily activity either at house or office. In this
rate, the problem about electricity power supply also increases dramatically.
The problem about pollution, power failure, high maintenance and lost power
consistency is one of the problem that always faced by customer. So, it is
suitable with the
general purpose of this hydroelectric generator, which is aim to act as a
backup power supply. In other meaning, to give a continuity of electric supply,
and to provide a clean supply without been interrupted, not even for instant to
support electrical equipment or loads. This systems need to be able to supply
power continuously, not only in the case of power failure but also during
troubleshooting and maintenance of the system.
The Hydroelectric Generator is
powered by water flowing from water host. It is one of the best methods to
ensure this backup power supply system will be able to support the critical
loads for a specific time during power disturbances because of utility system. Consumers will use this product to provide
energy for their electric equipment in case of power failure.
The main focus of the study is on the backup power supply performance during
varies emergencies situation and new development in distribution generator:
system operation, reduction cost and flexibility of the system will be proposed
and applied to the study to make a good backup power supply system.
This
research study will reviews the various types and configuration of backup power
supply system especially about hydroelectric generator.
It will then be used as case studies to test and validate the proposed
operation, estimation cost and performance at practical environment. This
project will be exciting because it will allow us to design and build a small
hydro-generation system. This system
will give insight into the complex task of finding a reliable energy source for
future use. The research study will conclude with recommendation and to improve
a backup power supply system on its performance and capability with respect to
load critically, cost and applications.
