WATER: Water Flow from a standard pipe and flows through the water jet that serve as driving force for the turbine.
PUMP: This part use a hydraulic ram to recycle the water source in order not to waste water.
TURBINE: The turbine is Pelton wheel. It will enclose in a box and attached to the motor shaft to drive the generator.
MOTOR / GENERATOR: The motor is an alternator 12 V permanent magnet DC motor that generate until 45 Ampere. It acts as generator.
DC – AC INVERTER: The 12VDC input will be invert to 240VAC at 50 Hz.
OUPUT: The electrical outlet will be attached for easy power supply to household device.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

        The Mini Hydroelectric Generator is a circuit which ensures a continuous power supply to the load irrespective to any power quality problems. As the critical electrical equipments or loads in telecommunication, information technology, financial systems and medical treatment should not be interrupted, not even for an instant because of the public safety, privacy and responsibility. Furthermore, in this century, the electronic equipment is used extensively to do many part of job: if the power disturbances happen such as voltage sag: the loss, safety and process will be in risk. This is the part where the backup power supply will act not only during power failure but also during troubleshooting or maintenance of the systems. However, in the market, the competency of backup generator is important which many type of generators already have been distributed and created: most popular is diesel generator, obviously many problems happen such as the backup power supply fails to supply power to the critical loads, a high cost for very simple systems and the source power will produce a pollution. There are many reasons for this to happen, among of it is a component failure, environment factors, system overload and less awareness of friendly nature. For these reasons, it is important to develop or a new methods such as safest, less maintenance and cheapest which is renewable power source like hydro. Another thing to be upgrade in the systems is to improve the performance and operation of backup power supply system, to ensure it will perform satisfactorily when needed the most.
